Paralysis By Overwhelm – How To Overcome It!

Paralysis By Overwhelm – How To Overcome It!

It could be a new piece of software, a management tool or a new marketing tactic.

It suddenly appears on your radar.

It looks interesting. It looks really interesting.

It could be a perfect fit for your business.

You are excited.

This really could change things.

This really could improve things.

You decide to find out more.

Scrap that, you commit to finding out more (following on from my recent email).

You find more information about the subject matter by carrying out some research online.

You stumble across a course all about the subject matter – pefect!

You book the course.

You are excited.

You attend the course.

There is so much that you do not know about this subject.

The course provider is an expert.

You now have many more unanswered questions, far more than before you attended the course.

You can never know as much as you need to about this topic.

What is the point of even trying?

I see this with small business owners a lot.

The good news is that there is a way around it.

If your instinct tells you that this ‘thing’ that you are interested in could be good for your business, you owe it to yourself to try it.

So try it.

Don’t stop now.

You have come too far.

You just need to keep taking small steps, then soon the impossible will seem easy.

Just start it.

Start it now!

Do not wait; the time will never be ‘just right.’ Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along.”

George Herbert, British Poet

Do one thing today and every day to move closer to making it happen.

Call other business owners who have already done it.

Ask suppliers for more information about it.

Buy a book that explains it in more detail.

Just keep taking small steps forward and soon you will realise that this ‘thing’ is a part of your every working day, and is ingrained into your business and works as well as you always hoped that it would do.
