When you have made the incredibly smart decision to start your email marketing newsletter, what should you write about?
I know that this is the part that often terrifies and prevents business owners from starting their email marketing newsletter, yet it really shouldn’t.
Just like anything else, it gets easier the more you do it. So that is my strong advice, just do it.
Sit down and start writing. Don’t think about it. Just start and you will be amazed how often as soon as you start writing, typing or dictating, whichever is your preference, content will appear in front of you.
If you are good at what you do, and you must be because you are still in business, then you know your onions. You know what issues your clients are facing and how to overcome these issues, so just talk about them.
Talk about them as if you are sitting in front of one of your clients who is scared or worried about the issue in question. Put their mind at rest, explain that all is not lost and explain how they can overcome the problem.
Don’t be one of those people who thinks that if they give away too much information in the email the client won’t need you. Give them your best work and watch how quickly your prospects see you as THE expert and ask you to help them with their business.
I see so many people who hold back on their best content for fear that they will not be needed. In my experience the opposite happens. When you explain in detail what needs to be done for your clients to get the results that they desire, they realise that it is simply beyond them in terms of skills and time available, so they ask you to do it for them.
